FRESH AIR
10min short film
Written & Directed by: Katherine Tolentino
Produced by: K.M. Glaess
Summary:
An aging housewife must decide whether to put her husband in a nursing home.
Director's Statement:
This film was inspired by my Chinese American grandmother, who spent her life devoted to her husband and never seemed to desire anything more than the humble life of a housewife.
As I was raised to be a feminist and a fiercely independent woman, I have always struggled to understand my grandmother's choices. I made this film as a way of exploring her story, and in the process, I discovered her strength.
